Kernersville Connections is an educational program run the Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Kevin Bugg with State Farm Insurance. The Connections program is for high school sophomores and juniors that live in Kernersville, attend a local high school or participate in a group based in Kernersville (church, scouts, etc.). Students who are leaders in their school and the community will want to participate in the program.
Connections students will attend Chamber events with business leaders in the community and will represent the Chamber of Commerce. Those who are interested will need to fill out an application (see links below), submit an essay (prompt on application) and two recommendation forms. Once all applications are received, candidates will be called in for an interview and will then be selected. Only 18-20 candidates will be selected for this elite group.
Kernersville Connections will last for an entire year, starting in August. Students will be required to attend events like the Spring Folly and the Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet along with attending four other events such as Business Before and After Hours, board meetings and Healthy Active Adults Day. Please return all completed applications and or questions, to Taylor Thornton at the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce.
