JOB TITLE: Executive Assistant

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer 

DETAILS: Full-time Position, Hourly, Non-Exempt. Hourly wage commensurate with education, experience and demonstrated proficiency


ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth Co. has fundamentally changed lives for more than 400 Partner Families right here in our community through new homeownership opportunities, home remodels and repair, and training. Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, rooted in Christian principles, brings together community partners and volunteers from all faiths to help qualified Partner Families construct, renovate and purchase well-built, affordable homes and become successful homeowners.

Basic Functions:  This position acts as assistant to the Executive Director and is also part of the Resource Development Team.

Principle Duties:

Executive Assistant:

  • Coordinate periodic reporting to Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) as required
  • Keep the Executive Director’s schedule
  • Perform a variety of executive secretarial and administrative duties as required by the Executive Director
  • Develop annual meeting schedule for committees and Board of Directors
  • Maintain schedule of Board of Directors term appointments
  • Send reminders for monthly Board and Executive Committee meetings
  • Schedule, set up and prepare board room for usage and meetings
  • Attend Board and Executive meetings, take minutes and transcribe for distribution


Affiliate Administrative support:

  • Provide support to fund development and Marketing departments
  • Send acknowledgement letters for donations
  • Send letters for honorariums and memorials
  • Provide assistance to the Resource Development Team regarding donors, gifts and reporting
  • Enter gifts into the donor software
  • Assist in substituting for the front desk during meetings
  • Submit deposits by remote capture or take deposits to the bank daily as needed
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer in administrative capacities
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer in administrative capacities
  • Support the Chief Program Officer in administrative capacities


Other Requirements:

Must have experience with MS Office and Teams.   Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and previous executive experience desired.  Adhere to schedule, show initiative, honest, drug free, positive attitude, customer service oriented, must have dependable transportation to work.  Must be flexible to occasionally work outside of regular work hours for events and meetings.

Level of authority: Requires minimal supervision
