Eric Tang Insurance and Financial Service, Inc. Named Kernersville Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for April 2026

The Kernersville Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Eric Tang Insurance and Financial Service, Inc. as its Business of the Month, honoring a long-standing commitment to professional excellence and community service.

Eric Tang has been serving clients in the financial and insurance industry since 1990. A highly accomplished professional, Eric holds an MBA from Campbell University, which he earned in 1990. His daughters affectionately refer to him as a “Triple Master,” a nod to his impressive accomplishments: a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Divinity, and a 4th-degree black belt Master in Taekwondo.

Eric purchased his agency in 2009 and successfully operated the business in Kernersville for nearly a decade. In 2018, he sold the practice to Chris Just & Associates in Greensboro and merged his business with that office. That same year, Eric transitioned his professional focus to become a Personal Financial Representative with Allstate Financial.

Today, Eric specializes in a wide range of financial services, including life insurance, investments, retirement planning, long term care, and annuities, among others. His work is supported by a dedicated team that includes a Sales Producer and a New Business Specialist, allowing him to continue delivering personalized service to his clients.

Beyond his professional work, Eric is deeply committed to serving his community. In 2015, he became a licensed local pastor with the United Methodist Church and currently serves as pastor of Union Ridge United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. His faith and leadership extend further through his involvement with the Kernersville Christian Ministers Fellowship, a group of local religious leaders dedicated to promoting unity and peace within the community, with a particular focus on supporting first responders.

Eric has also been an active member of the Rotary Club of Kernersville since 2009. For the past 15 years, he has served as Secretary of the organization. He values the fellowship and the opportunity to work alongside others who share a heart for service and a commitment to making a positive impact.

A strong supporter of the local business community, Eric has been involved with the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce for many years. He has contributed to numerous initiatives, including the Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament, Christmas Parade, and the sponsorship of a couple of past horse carriage rides in downtown Kernersville. Eric also supports several community events in Greensboro and contributes annually to the Kernersville Chamber’s Teachers Grant through the Allstate Foundation.

Outside of work and service, Eric enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife, Betsy, for 35 years. Together they have three daughters: Ashley, a teacher in Fayetteville who is married; Kristen, who is also married and works as a personal trainer in Greensboro; and Rachel, who is recently engaged and currently in her second year of graduate school at UNC Charlotte studying social work. The family also includes a beloved “fur baby,” Milo, a two-year-old Cavapoo.

After more than three decades in the insurance and financial services industry, Eric continues to look ahead. While he does have a succession plan in place, retirement is not in the immediate future—he anticipates continuing his work for another 10 years or so.

Congratulations to Eric Tang and Eric Tang Insurance and Financial Service, Inc. on being named the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month. His dedication to his clients, his profession, and his community exemplifies the spirit of service that makes Kernersville such a special place.
