December of the Month: Russell & Cook Insurance

Congratulations to Rob Cook, owner of Russell & Cook Insurance, the 2025 December Business of the Month. 

In 2009, John Russell and Rob Cook founded the company, located in their current space, and began to serve the Triad Area.

Russell & Cook Insurance is an Independent Insurance agency that offers insurance solutions for Personal (Home, Auto, Umbrella, etc) and Business (Property, Liability, Auto, Work Comp, etc) insurance needs. They also offer Life Insurance as well as Individual Health Insurance and Medicare Supplements. With five strong team members they continue to put customer service first.

Serving their community is an important function of the business.  John has been a member of Clemmons Rotary for 30+ years. Rob, is a graduate of City Academy in Greensboro (2016) and Leadership Kernersville Class of 2014.

Rob has served on multiple Kernersville Chamber of Commerce Committees, been on the board in different capacities (including Chairman), and was named Small Business Advocate (2016), Key Volunteer (2020), and awarded the Chairman’s Award (2024).  Rob has also served on the Winston-Salem Chamber board and was their 2014 Ambassador of the Year.
