Chrissy Hild started Blue Nest Design in 2016 and opened Blue Nest Mercantile in 2022.

In March of 2024 the store expanded to its current location which is across the street from its original location.

Through Blue Nest Design, Chrissy offers a wide variety of interior design services, from small jobs such as picking a single paint color to collaborating with builders and homebuyers to assist with designing spaces from the ground up.

The retail store location, Blue Nest Mercantile, features home decor, furnishings and all the many things to help you make your house feel like home.  Lighting, floorcovering and furniture options go far beyond what is carried at the Mercantile.  Grab a business card while you’re shopping and you can message or call Chrissy personally to tell her what you are looking for and she will be sure to find it for you at a great price!

From friendly staff to complimentary beverages, occasional tasty treats, wonderful smells and a playlist that gets compliments from music lovers, Chrissy has a personal mission to provide shoppers with a warm, welcoming and memorable experience.

Chrissy is also involved in building relationships within our community by supporting other local small businesses and including our community in all she does.  She understands the hard work that it takes to thrive as a small business and loves to see her fellow small business owners succeed.

Chrissy is married with four children and she and her family are active members of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Winston Salem.
